A series of professional development trainings from 2020 TESOL-Ukraine Online Teacher Development Institute took for more than a month. Iryna Liashenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages took part in the Institute «Essentials of Online Teaching» (30 academic hours) which covered such essential topics as “Communicative Language Teaching Strategies for the Online Classroom,” “Encouraging Critical Thinking in the Online Classroom”, “Online Assessment Tools”, “How to Conduct a Reading Lesson Online”, “Teaching pair and Group Work”, “How to Conduct a Listening Lesson Online”, “How to Use Pear Deck and Graphic Organizers”. Classes were provided Wendy Finlayson and Shaun Hicks, English Language Fellows, U.S. Department of State.
